How to add BORDER RADIUS (HTML)

Tired of the old rectangle shaped table on your blog? Well read further to know how to add rounded border to your theme using HTML.

TO DO THAT:

  1. Visit  http://border-radius.com/
  2. You could input different values that can trigger different effects such as

And so much more. You could just play around with numbers so you can create a new design for your page.
  3. Next is putting it in your blog.
Well, every theme has it’s own different html style. For an easier task, just put it under <style type=”text/css”>

and then put <div class=”border”></div> on your content table.

#Well, html is complicated to understand and far much more complicated to explain/teach. I can’t explain it with a single text post. I’ll just try to make  another post to make you understand and love HTML better.

THE GREAT AUDACITY TUTORIAL: NOISE REMOVAL EFFECT

Noise Removal has been very helpful in most of my covers. Do you get irritated when you’re in the middle of recording your cover then suddenly your neighbor’s dog barked? Or the noise of your electric fan, that you can’t turn off because it’s hot in your recording room/bed room, in the background music?

Well, I’m gonna teach you the magic of NOISE REMOVAL.

  1. Open audacity
  2. Do your recording
  3. Now, when you’re done, notice the part when there is still silence in your recording. The before and after you speak sections of the recording.
  4. Then you select either the before or after section then go to EFFECTS>NOISE REMOVAL

  5. Then after, select the whole recording then do those steps again but you have to select “Okay” rather than “Get Noise Profile” on the second attempt.

    And that’s a wrap!
Next tutorial is about “Voice Remover” Where you can remove the voice on a song then replace it with your own voice.

    UNTIL THEN!

How to do IMAGE-MAPPING

Want to put clickable images that leads to a specific address on your website? Just follow these simple steps on how I do image mapping.

First, you have to upload your picture. You can do this to any site but I suggest to upload it in http://tinypic.com/

Then take note of the link of the image.

For example, we’ll use this image

if you want to showcase your other sites on your tumblr for instance.

Then open an image mapper site, let’s say http://www.isdntek.com/tagbot/imap.htm

Copy the Direct Link of your image and then paste it in the “Image URL” tab.

The image will preview below. To add a link click “New Link” then copy the URL of your choice. Say, your facebook account.

Then to all another link just click new link, to remove click remove link. (duh)

When finished click “Make code” to view the code. If you like to test the code click preview.

Then copy the code to your over-all tumblr theme html code. You can use it as your header or just a part of your “About me” section.

#and that’s it! Thank you for reading this tutorial. Don’t hesitate to ask for more tutorials! TTFN! :)

How to make a theme HEADER:

If you’re using ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

  • Make a new canvass (FILE>NEW or Ctrl+N)
  • Enter the desired size (In pixels) Just estimate the size suited for your theme. You can estimate by trial and error technique by cropping or resizing the canvass
  • If you know the basics of photoshop, go ahead and design the banner
  • After, save it in .png (portable network graphic file)
  • Upload it to any file hosting site (Examples are webs, wordpress but I suggest upload it in tinypic.com)
  • Copy the Image URL
  • Substitute it in this html code:
    <img src=”IMAGE URL“>
  • Then paste the code preferably in the space after </head> <body> but it really depends on your theme. Just do trial and error again to know where to place the code.
  • That’s it!

Suggested by fantastickid. Heee.

1. Select File and click NEW to create a new canvas. As for me, I’m using Photoshop cs3. Set the width to 250 and anything for the height.

2. Since it’s a GIF, you need to have a lot of different pictures. It’s up to you to style it.

3. Now you need to make it a “GIF.” I used photoscape. If you want to download it, you can try searching google.

4. Now you just have to drag your finished pictures to create your very own GIF. You can adjust how fast or slow you want it too look like. It’s up to you.

5. Now your done!
